I didn't see him coming undercover of the night / I didn't know what hit me / He did everything so right / Quiet as a whisper, he's a shadow dressed in black / He crept right up behind me with his secret love attack

Ok, that last bit could be a little disconcerting, but how can you not love a band like Freezepop? They have developed a cult following via the internet, and have songs about ninjas, rocking out, and communication via thought balloons, and that's just on this album. They also sing about science genius girls, stealing bikes, and stalking an indie kid to name a few.

You may already know the band from their songs in the first two Guitar Hero games ("Get Ready to Rokk" and "Less Talk More Rokk"), or their songs for Rock Band ("Brainpower" and "Sprode"). If so, you know how much fun it is to rock out to them, and sing along. If not, find a friend who has one of these games, and play those songs. They're usually not that easy, but damn they're worth it. Whether you check the games out or not, you can also listen to some of their music on their website under the Store, and their Myspace page.

Their music is all synthpop with the emphasis on the pop, and it's almost impossible not to sing along. "The basement scene is hot and sweaty / Bodies packed from wall to wall / The band are tearing through their set / The encore is the best of all / Let's keep this party going, yo / We've got nowhere else to be / Someone yells, "less talk more rock" / Mostly un-ironically". Seriously, how can you not love that? Or the line in Brainpower (a song about a band called Brainpower) "It is not a good band name / no, I should have used that very same / braaaaainpower that I'd mentioned before". Brilliant.
